Pilon “Package Redesign”
So, when I was in the store at the coffee section, I saw this one coffee package that stood out from the rest. It was using this saturated yellow and red, mostly textbase. It wasn’t an excellent stand-out either. So, I decided to do a redesign for the package.

Process
Mood board
Before starting the design, I did some research on the company. I found out that the company is from Cuba, and I knew I wanted the package to represent the company location and Cuba culture, so I made a mood board guide me in the design.
Sketch
When making the sketches, I was playing around with a few ideas. One idea was to have a pattern background with items from Cuban culture or a more realistic illustration route. When I was jumping around this idea, I thought I should try making an abstract piece on coffee and use that for the package design
Rough sketch
After deciding to do an abstract design, I made a rough sketch with colors to show the design. When it came to the colors, I based the color scheme on Cuba's parades and how they used bright colors during the parades

I also redesigned the package shape itself because my design looked that the original design of the package was not the best shape to show all my work on the package I did.
